THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, FELLOW MEMBERS,
INCOMING COMMITTEE MEMBERS, LADIES AND
GENTLEMEN
It
is an honour for giving me an opportunity to address and serve you
as your Chairman for the year 2008-2009.
I joined this Club way
back in 1980 having been proposed by the then Chairman of the
Club Dr. Bachu Bram Bhatt. Over the years I have regularly
patronized the Club and have derived immense pleasure from playing
various games regularly and from the fellowship by attending many
Club functions with my family, infact my children literally grew up
here. It has been my second home.
This made me think that I
need to do something in return for the Club and thus offered my
services to the Management. I have passed through the ranks to the
position of Vice Chairman and now finally as Chairman.
We as Management Committee
for the ensuing year will aim to: -
§ Promote
sports by maintaining and upgrading existing facilities and at the
same time looking to create new viable ones. The Gymnasium is
almost in its final stages. We intend to take on new projects as
soon as possible with of course the approval of the membership.
§
We will aim to strengthen
the systems in place with emphasis on better service delivery to our
members.
§ We
intend to enforce the by laws and policies of the Club that will
help us to create a conducive environment for members to relax and
enjoy the facilities of the Club.
§ These
objectives can only be achieved in a cosmopolitan Club like ours by
maintaining complete harmony and avoid situations that can
degenerate into conflicts, therefore, we seek your cooperation and
good will and together we will endeavor to take this Club forward.
Finally, I take this
opportunity to compliment the outgoing Chairman Mr. Patrick Ochwa
and his team for doing an excellent job.
