December, 2001 has lived up to the billing of a festive
month and even surpassed our expectations.
By the number of activities and the general patronage of the Club.
We not only had a busy Club schedule, but were graced with
the patronage of Crew from at least FOUR [4] British Navy Ships who registered
their satisfaction with our club membership and facilities.
The climax was of course the New Year’s Eve Party, which
arguably the best in many years having an attendance of about 1,300 people
mostly, club members. I need not describe
the mood and fun of people who have spent the whole year together as friends
and family joining in the count down to another year. I will leave it to the
imagination of those who missed the memory of those who attended.
Many thanks to the organising committee led by the club Vice
Chairman Mr. Vijay Bij and our even reliable staff.
For the year ahead I and the entire Management Committee
wish you all wherever you are an even more prosperous and happy 2002. May your aspirations materialise to your
expectations.
HAPPY NEW YEAR

BOWLING:
There were no competitions held after the last one played on
10th and 11th November, 2001 due to the holiday mood
preparations but social bowling continued regularly on the weekends.
Time flies and we never know how 2001 went by so fast. It is once again time to enumerate how the
section performed and achieved throughout the year and this will be elaborated
at the 44th Annual General Meeting of the Bowling Section to be held
after the Captain’s Day on Saturday 12th January, 2002 at 6.30 p.m.
at the Upstairs Lounge. All the bowlers
and interested members are requested to attend.
On behalf of the Captain of the Bowling Section, Mr. Kirti
Chhaniyara, yours truly Bhogie Dosh would like to thank all the committee
members, the management of the club and all bowlers for their support and
guidance accorded to the bowling section throughout the year to run the section
smoothly and efficiently and wish all the members of the club including their
