GENERAL:
Surprising how fast time moves when you are in love.
So they say.
I cannot claim to have been in love and so I shall
give an exception to that saying. If anything I fear that the amount of time I
have had to spend at the Club has deprived me of some loved ones company
(pole)! I guess that was the call of duty.
If you are wondering whether this is turning into
a tabloid then you are wrong. I’m talking about the Club year 2001 – 2002. This
happens to be my and your last newsletter article this Club year!
It has been both a hard, eventful and enjoyable year
with its share of sacrifices all quarrels, all which were in good faith I know.
Much of these will be canvassed at the Annual General Meeting at which I hope
all of you will attend. However for purposes of this dispatch I can only thank
you all for the unqualified support, criticism and encouragement
you have given me, for that is what made the year what it was.
As we move into the arena of “co-operations”,
“mergers”, “alliances” and “delegates conference” I only hope that the same
spirit of togetherness and singleness of purpose (Mombasa Sports Club’s
continuity) prevails in our considerations and actions.
Thank you very much and long live Mombasa Sports
Club
