Club can look back in retrospect and rejoice at our past achievements, we cannot but
realize the deep gratitude we owe firstly to those who laid the foundation
of this (the first sports) club (in Mombasa Kenya) in 1896 and secondly
to the subsequent committees that spared no effort to make the Mombasa Sports Club a symbol of
all that is best in the life of the sporting fraternity.
Sports is a unique way of promoting a spirit of harmony and camaraderie amongst peoples of
different cultures, languages and age groups and our Club can proudly claim to be among the
pioneers. of sporting events in Kenya. The dedication of sportsmen and sportswomen has
contributed to the dynamism of our sports profile. We have produced sports personalities who have
represented Kenya at national and international levels in various
disciplines.
