JULY 2007

The popular Taifa Ngano Tournament is currently in progress. Twelve best teams from Mombasa district are battling to win the Cup and the prize money. The tournament has made Mombasa Sports Club the center of attraction for the fans. The matches are pulling capacity crowds. With its lush green grounds and beautiful surroundings, the Mombasa Sports Club has always been a fovourite venue for the players and the fans. The tournament is in the second round stage.

No clear favourite has so far emerged. This reflects on the competitiveness of the tournament.

JUNE 2007: The section had friendly matches in the month. They played a12 games won 2 drew 2 and lost 8.

MAY 2007: The section played a total of 13 friendly matches, winning 4, loosing 6 and drew 2 matches.

APRIL 2007

Commerce wins seven- aside Trophy

A seven- aside tournament was successfully organized on 14th – 15th April 2007 involving Club members grouped according to their respective professions. Commerce emerged the winners beating Cricket in the finals by 4: 1

Participating teams were pooled in groups A and B: -

Fixtures were played on a round robin basis to ensure every team played the other.

The matches were well handled by MSC referees David Fawcett, Nawaz Khan and Wilfred Asiago. Trophies were awarded to the winners and runners - up. The Staff team was declared the most disciplined team while the best player was Ibrahim Mutwaffy

Trophies were awarded to the teams by club Trustee, Mr. K.P. Shah and Football officials Hatim Bana and Ibrahim Mutwaffy.
